Watch: Man completes his quest to drink in every pub in Nottinghamshire

A pub-lover has completed a mission to drink in every boozer in Nottinghamshire.

Peter Hill, from West Bromwich, visited the Tuck and Tanner in Top Valley on Friday (June 16) – meaning he has ticked off all 919 pubs in Notts.

The achievement is only part of a mission he set himself 33 years ago to drink in every pub in the UK.

He has so far had a drink in 20,234, mainly across the Midlands, and there are around 52,000 nationwide.

“I enjoy it and it’s got me out the house,” said the 60-year-old.

“In every pub I go into I leave them a card and get the person behind the bar to sign the book I keep.”

Peter keeps a log book of every pub he has been to.

While he has spent thousands of pounds – and £12,000 in 2016 alone – Peter also asks each pub to donate £1 to charity, and gives to proceeds away to various good causes.

On Friday he gave the latest beneficiaries of his quest, Nottingham Children’s Hospital, a cheque for £3,250.
