Police have cordoned off Westwood Road with residents told to stay indoors

Armed police have been called to an address in Sneinton with residents on the road told to stay indoors.

Notts Police armed officers, riot vans and dog units are reported to have cordoned off Westwood Road in Sneinton at around 8.30am this morning (Saturday April 22).

A spokesperson for Notts Police said: “Officers attended addresses in Westwood Road, Sneinton and Sneinton Boulevard this morning as part of an ongoing investigation.

“Enquiries are continuing.”

One resident on Westwood Road said: “I’ve no idea what’s happening but we can’t leave the house.”
