A suspected burglar carrying an axe fled a home after walking in on an 11-year-old girl in her bedroom.
The man is suspected of entering the home, picking up an axe and searching the property but ran off empty-handed when he discovered the girl.
The incident happened on High Street, South Clifton, Newark on Saturday (May 27) afternoon.
The man was described as white but slightly tanned, aged 40-50 years, quite short, with a fat belly but skinny legs, short grey hair and stubble on his face and neck.
He was wearing a red, green and blue chequered long sleeve shirt with lightly padded, denim blue jeans and possibly black boots.
