East Midlands Airport’s main runway is open again after it was closed by a light aircraft emergency.
It was shut on Thursday lunchtime after a landing gear problem after landing left a small plane stranded on the runway.
It was closed between 12.10pm and 1.50pm while East Midlands staff removed it.
The Air Accident Investigation Branch has sent a team to investigate and will publish a report on the incident later.
Six flights were affected in total, with the 1.25pm flight to Guernsey cancelled and a Limoges flight was delayed for two hours.
Modlin and Guernsey arrivals were diverted to Birmingham and the Amsterdam and Arrecife Lanzarote flights experienced slight delays.
