Forest head coach Montanier hit with touchline ban

Nottingham Forest head coach Philippe Montanier has been given a two-game touchline ban for insulting a match official.

The Reds boss was hit with a misconduct charge by the Football Association after the game against Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough on September 24.

The FA said the ban would be served “with immediate effect”.

An association statement read: “It is alleged that after the game finished, the Nottingham Forest manager, who was also fined £3,000, used abusive and/or insulting words towards a match official.
“The charge was found proven following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing.”
