The A46 northbound has re-opened after a lorry crash meant it had to be closed for almost all of Thursday.
The route had to be closed between Bingham and Newark just after 6am when a lorry shed a load of train batteries.
A second goods vehicle then hit the debris and spread diesel on the road.
Emergency crews were called to the scene and highways officers had to re-surface the road before it could be opened again around 10pm on Thursday.
