Nottingham’s Elise Christie wins two gold medals at World Cup

Nottingham’s Elise Christie won two gold medals at the World Cup in 1000m and 500m in speed skating.

It is her fourth gold medal at the International Skating Union World Cup in Holland after winning four gold medals in the European Championship earlier this year.

The 25 year old was born in Scotland but moved to Nottingham when she was 15 to pursue her skating career.

She was named Nottingham’s Sportswoman of the Year in 2013 following the most successful season of any British female speed skater ever .
