Notts TV launches new Sports Week show

Notts TV has launched a new show bringing viewers the latest news, interviews and features from the world of Nottinghamshire sport.

Sports Week will be broadcast every Wednesday at 7.30pm and made its debut on April 27.

From football to fencing, handball to horse racing. If it’s even vaguely sporting and happening in your area you’ll find it on the show.

There are big name interviews from major clubs, and the show will look at sports at grassroots level, from community groups to the Nottingham Varsity series as well as some of the more unusual sports that have found a home in Notts.

You can also send us your sporting stories of your favourite sporting moments for the chance to make it on to the show.

The programme will be presented by Notts TV Sport presenter Christian Hewgill, who has led the channel’s coverage of Nottingham Forest, Notts County and Nottingham Rugby this season.

He said: “I’m so excited to be a part of Sports Week. Everyone knows just how much sport there is in Nottinghamshire, and not just the big boys.

“There’s all sorts of different sport happening across the city and county. I can’t wait to dive in to it and bring some of our sporting heroes to TV for the first time.”

Watch Sports Week at 7.30pm every Wednesday on Notts TV via Freeview Channel 7, Virgin 159, Sky 117 and on demand at nottstv.com.
