The moment a man robbed a woman at knifepoint for £20

Police have released images of a woman that was robbed at knifepoint while withdrawing money from a cash machine.

The woman took out £20 from the machine outside the Asda superstore in Bancroft Lane, Mansfield just before 8.50am yesterday (Tuesday May 30) when she was approached from behind.

The offender put one arm around her while holding a knife in the other hand and demanding the money.

They then fled with the cash on to Sutton Road.

Police want to identify the man in the photo

The offender was described as white, slim, 5ft 7ins-tall, in his early to mid-30s with a pale complexion.

CCTV footage shows the offender wearing a three-quarter length jacket, a woolly hat and dark tracksuit bottoms with two green stripes running down each side.

The man continued to threaten the woman

Anyone with any information is asked to call Notts Police on 101, quoting incident number 153 of May 30, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
