Notts County manager John Sheridan expects a physical clash against Morecambe at Meadow Lane on Saturday (October 1).

The Magpies go into the game having won their last three matches in a row and scoring eight goals in total against Cheltenham, Leyton Orient and Exeter.

Morecambe sit just one point adrift of Notts in Sky Bet League Two but come into the game having picked up just one point out of their last two matches.

I can’t call who the best team we’ve played is

Speaking about the league, Sheridan said: “Teams are going to take points off each other and there’s going to be a lot of draws.

“When you’re winning games you want everyone else to draw because it’s so evenly matched the league.

“I can’t call who the best team we’ve played is because any team can go and perform and then follow it with the manager saying ‘I don’t know what I’m watching this week.'”

Defender Haydn Hollis thinks Notts should not fear anyone in the league and that the Magpies can still improve their performances.

He said: “When you get on a good run of form it sticks to you and winning is a good habit.

“If you’re not playing well and still getting wins it’s good but I still think there’s a lot more to come from us and I think we’ll get even better than what we are now.

“I don’t think there’s a team in this league we should be scared of although there are some you’ve got to respect.”
