A Chilwell shop assistant has been left badly shaken after she was assaulted by two robbers in Halloween masks.

The 25-year-old mum was attacked by the pair at Sunnnyside Post Office on Monday, 19 October.

One of the robbers wore a “Scream”-style mask, while the other wore a clown mask.

Kashmir Purewal, owner of the shop said: “When I saw the two men at the counter I first thought that they could have just been people pulling a prank, it was only when they took her arm and pushed it behind her back I realised the seriousness of the matter.”

Nottinghamshire police are appealing for information on the two men, one who is described as a large build and the other slim.

Kashmir added: “Thankfully the assistant sustained no injuries and she is okay, just shaken up by incident, hopefully the police will find the people responsible so that we can have some closure.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 750 of October 19.

Alternatively, ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
