Six people arrested after teenager stabbed in Aspley park

Six people have been arrested after a 19-year-old man was stabbed at King George Park in Aspley.

The victim was attacked at around 10pm on Monday night and was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre.

Police say his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-altering.

An area close to the park on Aspley Lane has been cordoned off and forensic officers are examining the scene.

Six people, including two 19-year-olds, two 18-year-olds, a 17-year-old and a 16-year-old, have been arrested on suspicion of affray in connection with the incident.

They were still in custody being questioned on Tuesday morning.
