Thieves are targeting vans left parked outside Nottingham hotels and pubs.
Break-ins were reported outside the Premier Inn in Daybrook, Mansfield Road’s Best Western Hotel and the Park Inn, also on Mansfield Road, between Monday November 30 and Tuesday, December 1.
It follows nine van break-ins at hotel or pub car parks in the last month in the Gedling, Rushcliffe and Broxtowe areas.
Notts Police say the thieves are using tools to force open locks and help themselves to items left in the vehicles.
A force spokesman said: “Vehicle owners should ensure their vans are secure and that nothing is in plain sight.
“Those staying in hotels and pubs are asked to be extra vigilant and to report any suspicious activity immediately.”
