A woman has died following a crash between a car and a lorry on the A46 in Newark.
The 63-year-old woman was taken to the QMC with life threatening injuries and died yesterday (Sunday November 6) morning.
The incident took place last Wednesday (November 2) at around 7.30pm and the woman had to be cut free from the car by fire fighters.
The male driver of the car sustained injuries that were not believed to be life threatening with the driver of the lorry unharmed.
At the time, the route between Great North Road and Farndon Road was immediately closed off.
Officers are asking anyone who saw what happened or who may have any information that could help, to contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101 quoting incident 788 of 1 November.
