Woman, 55, dies from severe head injury after her bicycle collided with motorbike

A 55-year-old woman has died from a severe head injury after her bicycle collided with a motorbike in Newark on Monday (March 12).

Karen Margaret Clayton, from Newark, suffered the injury after the collision on Lombard Street at around 6.35am.

She was taken to the QMC but died of her injuries on Tuesday (March 13) evening.

Nottinghamshire Police officers are appealing to anyone who saw what happened or who might have any information that could help to contact the force on 101, quoting incident number 78 of March 12.
