17 men charged after football fans in ‘mass brawl’ at city pub

Seventeen men have been charged in connection with a ‘disturbung’ mass brawl between Notts County and Nottingham Forest fans.

Police say two groups started fighting in the Major Oak Pub, on Pelham Street in Nottingham on the evening of Saturday, March 19.

Officers made 17 arrests early on Tuesday morning at locations across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.

Police announced on Wednesday they had charged all of them each with one count of affray.

They are;

  • Jake Bramley, 27, of Valley Road, Carlton
  • Adam Claxton, 26, of Thurcroft Close, Derby
  • Dillon Connor, 22, of Hill Fields, South Normanton
  • Dallen Dakin, 19, of Dursley Close, Nottingham
  • Ross Dawson, 20, of Helston Drive, Nottingham
  • Darren Dennovellis, 27, of Potters Close, Nottingham
  • Andrew Fuller, 23, of The Beeches, Carlton
  • Reece Kelly, 22, of Greencroft, Nottingham
  • Callum McKenzie, 26, of Lingmell Close, West Bridgford
  • Charlie Miller, 19, of, 14 Odesa Drive, Cinderhill
  • Harry Nicholson, 20, of Cranston Avenue, Arnold
  • Callum Parchment, 22, of Burleigh Close, West Bridgford
  • Matthew Richmond,25, of Nottingham Road, Trowell
  • Michele Saragnese, 22, of East Crescent, Beeston
  • Craig Sisson, 23, of Honeywood Drive, Carlton
  • Ryan Wales, 20, of Maltby Close, Nottingham
  • Reece Warner, 23, of Medway Close, Chilwell

All are due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, June 9.

An 18-year-old man who was also arrested on Tuesday has been bailed pending further enquiries.

Chief Superintendent Mark Holland of Notts Police said on Tuesday: “This is a very significant operation as we investigate the circumstances of a very disturbing violent incident allegedly involving rival groups of so-called football supporters in Nottingham.”
