The A52 at Bramcote was shut in both directions following a police chase on Sunday.

A car was seen by officers driving erratically just before 1pm.

It stopped and three men got out, one of whom was caught at the scene and taken into custody.

The other two were injured while trying to flee on foot, and later arrested.

They are being treated at the Queens Medical Centre with non-serious injuries.

All three men were arrested on suspicion of theft of a vehicle.

The road was then closed while vehicle examiners reviewed the scene and inspected the vehicles before they could be removed. It reopened at around 7pm.

A force spokesman said: “Nottinghamshire Police would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused by the road closure.

“The Independent Police Complaints Commission has been informed as a matter of standard procedure.”
