Court date set for man charged with attempted abduction of child

A 36-year-old man has been remanded in custody after appearing in court charged with the attempted abduction of a child.

Mikolaj Zawilinski, of Farfield Avenue, Beeston, appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Friday (July 28) and his case has been listed for trial at Nottingham Crown Court on August 25.

He has also been charged with sexual assault on a child under 13, trespass with intent to commit a sexual offence and committing an offence with the intent to commit a relevant sexual offence.

The charges come after officers were called by members of the public to reports of a man behaving suspiciously in Beeston at around 4.30pm on Wednesday (July 26).
