The M1 Northbound in Nottinghamshire has reopened after a lorry caught fire but delays are expected to continue as the wreckage is cleared.

The HGV caught fire in the early hours of this morning between junctions 28 and 29, west of Mansfield.

Derbyshire Fire and Rescue were called to the scene to tackle the blaze, which caused long delays across west Nottinghamshire.

Highways England says the route is now open again, but delays are still to be expected as police recover the vehicle from the hard shoulder and clear the debris.
