A man has been jailed for five years, eight months after pleading guilty to having a handgun and ammunition in his house.
Working on intelligence, Notts Police officers searched a house in Basford on Friday May 5 and found the weapon.
Ijah Lavelle Moore, 25, of Nottingham Road, Nottingham, was arrested at the scene and charged with possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition.
He was sentenced at Nottingham Crown Court on Thursday (August 3) after pleading guilty to the offences on Tuesday July 18.
