Police re-launching an appeal to find a missing Beeston man say there has not been a single confirmed sighting of him since he disappeared.
John Ferris was last seen in the area on February 8, and while the case is not being treated as suspicious, police say his whereabouts are still a mystery.
Mr Ferris, 54, had never been reported missing before.
Addressing him directly, Chief Inspector James Wooley said: “John, we want you to know you are not in any trouble and your friends and family are deeply concerned for you. They, like us, would just like to know you are safe. Please pick up the telephone and give us a call.”
He added: “It has now been six months since John was last seen. We have had calls from the public and we appreciate all those coming to us with information, however, there have been no confirmed sightings since he was reported missing.
“His disappearance is very out of character and he has never been reported missing before.
“John was a qualified engineer and it is thought he may be doing jobs of that nature. We would urge farmers and anyone with agricultural equipment to remain alert as John would be well suited to maintaining and mending this type of machinery.”
John is described as white, 5ft 10ins, of thin build, with a shaven head with stubble, although police say his appearance may have changed significantly.
Anyone who has any information is asked to call Notts Police on 101, quoting incident number 330 of February 22.
