Police appealing for owner of missing chocolates

nottingham, Nottinghamshire, Nottinghamshire police

Nottinghamshire Police have put out an unusual appeal on social media in an attempt to contact a holiday maker who lost her Belgian chocolates.

A post of the Facebook page said a holidaymaker from Nottinghamshire has contacted them after she returned home from a holiday in Belgium and had lost her chocolates on route.

The missing chocolates were found by a man who is now looking to reunite the treats with their owner.

The post which was published on Facebook read:

Our control room took a call over the weekend from a woman who was returning from a holiday to Belgium but had lost her Belgian chocolates en-route. She was put through to lost property at Central police station.

However, we have since received a call from a kind gentleman who has found the chocolates and is looking to reunite them with their owner.

As our original caller was only looking for lost and found details we did not take any contact information.

If you were that caller, please get in touch on 101 referencing incident number 456 of 15 August 2015.

Your chocolates are waiting!
