Detectives have been granted extra time to question nine people arrested in connection with the murder of Tony Fisher.
Seven men aged between 22 and 47 and two women aged 28 and 42 are still in custody, having been detained on Tuesday night.
Officers now have up till Saturday night to question the suspects after being granted an extension by a court.
All were arrested on suspicion of murder.
Mr Fisher, 58, was found dead at his home in Coningswath Road in Carlton on Saturday. He had been stabbed to death.
Officers would still like to speak to anyone who has any information about the incident.
